Refund Policy
Last updated: August 2026
Nothing is on sale yet. This policy is published in advance so you can read it before there is anything to buy.
1. Read the preview first
Every report shows its full table of contents and a sample section before checkout. Reports are digital files — once one is downloaded it cannot be un-downloaded — so the preview is there to let you decide before you pay rather than after.
2. When we refund a report
Ask within 14 days of purchase and we will refund in full if:
- The download never worked and we could not get you a working copy.
- The file is corrupt, truncated, or unreadable.
- The contents are substantially different from what the page and the preview described.
- You were charged twice for the same report.
You do not need to argue your case. If you tell us the report was not what the page led you to expect, that is enough.
3. When we do not refund a report
- Requests more than 14 days after purchase.
- "I already knew this." The table of contents and the sample section are published precisely so you can judge the depth before paying.
- Losses you attribute to acting on the report. Everything we publish is education, not financial, legal, or tax advice — see the terms.
- A provider mentioned in the report rejecting you, changing its fees, or shutting down.
4. Email alert subscriptions
A subscription is billed monthly or yearly until you cancel it. Two things are worth keeping apart, because they are separate actions:
- Unsubscribing — the one-click link in every alert email. It stops the emails. It does not stop the billing.
- Cancelling — done from the receipt Waffo emailed you. It stops future charges. Access runs to the end of the period you already paid for.
We refund, on request within 14 days:
- the first charge on a new subscription, in full, for any reason — if it is not what you expected, say so and that is enough;
- a renewal you did not want, where no alert had been sent to you since the previous charge;
- a renewal charged after you used the unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing is not cancelling, but if you clearly stopped wanting the product and we billed you again, you get that charge back;
- any duplicate charge, or a charge after you cancelled.
We do not refund:
- A period in which no alert arrived. That is the product working as described, not a fault. The alerts page publishes how many emails each year would have produced over the period we measured, including the years that produced none, and it does that before you pay. Some calendar years genuinely send nothing.
- Periods older than the most recent charge.
- Disagreement with a reading, a threshold, or what the price did afterwards. The emails report readings and how often they occur; they are not advice — see the terms.
Refunds are issued by Waffo as merchant of record and land back on the card you paid with.
5. Statutory rights
Consumers in the EU and UK have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance purchase. For digital content delivered immediately, that right ends once download begins and you have agreed to it — you are asked to confirm this at checkout. This policy sits on top of those rights and does not reduce them. Where your local consumer law gives you more, that law wins.
6. How to ask
Email chenshiwei509@gmail.com with the email address you paid from and the order or receipt number. A reply normally takes one to two business days.
Payments are processed by Waffo as merchant of record, so the refund is issued by Waffo and lands back on the card you paid with. Banks usually take a further five to ten business days to post it.
7. Chargebacks
Email us before opening a chargeback. A chargeback on a $1–$39 digital product costs more to contest than the product is worth, and we would rather just refund you. That applies to a subscription charge as much as to a report.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The version in force is the one published on the day you bought.
